"Lust" is a very human condition. Its definition varies greatly, and as such it is not always a useful word to use in the context of this discussion, since it means different things to different people. It can have negative connotations, such as when sex happens that perhaps shouldn't have, but it can have positive connotations too, as in when it is channelled into a healthy sexual relationship and enhances the experience for both partners. In the end, lust isn't the issue, it is what one does with it that matters.

I agree with isvara, that it can have a role in promoting healthy curiosity, and who here doesn't have that? Without a modicum of lust, we would lead rather solitary existences, devoid of touch and a lot of intimacy, and a lot of what people secretly find most satisfying about their lives.

When it comes to the "education" of the young, there has to be a realisation here that young people have sexual needs too. As I have said before, it is better to give them some information that could help them make better decisions in life, than to leave them floundering around, perhaps also floundering in the guilt generated by years of ignorance or misinformation. As isvara also said - "Half my life has been accumulating guilt the other half getting free from it. What a waste of time!"

Be careful though, not to succumb to prescribing what information you think is helpful, based solely on your own preferences and likes. The fact that something works for you, doesn't mean it will work for others. My own contemplation of female labia (thanks for that image isvara - lol) is somewhat limited, and as a young man, I would have resented the assumption that this was what I would like too. Behind it is a tacit indication that this is what is considered NORMAL. Yet in sex, what one needs is to not be saddled with random definitions of what constitutes normal, since GUILT will be the inevitable result. Aneros use, shows us dramatically that there is little that can be classified as NORMAL. Our journeys are unique and are our own. Now that we have learnt once more, that variety is the spice of life, lets not forget that each person (even a young person) is on their own journey through life, and there is no standard model of how this will turn out, despite the pushing and cajoling of others. To go against one's innate feelings here, is to lead a life in the shadows of existence.

Please remember too, that people are quite capable of lying about, and then perpetuating the myth that there is something called NORMAL. They want to fit in, they definitely don't want to stick out as odd, perverse, or abnormal. It takes a lot of contemplation and coming to terms with who you REALLY are, in order to overcome these often unwritten strictures. As isvara said (and it is worth repeating) - What a waste of time!"

As an atheist I personally don't care to read about religious views and dogma either. But I found it easy enough to skip past those religious posts that didn't interest me. Yes, the religious puritanical and patriarchal cultural training that invokes shame and guilt about experiencing the pleasure of our body's is significant in this topic. But it is a fine line that can turn ugly really quickly.

Assuming there are no conflicts of forum rules concerning inappropriate topics or flamewars between users, I'd like to suggest to everyone to practice tolerance, understanding, and compassion with your posts here and communications between users.

I started this comment and had no idea it would lead to the issue of religion. Some of the earlier replies brought up the subject of sexual preference which, at the time, I had not even thought of. I never associated the use of a prostate massager as possibly a homosexual activity. In fact it was only this last 10 days I was able to associate the act of inserting a dick into a man's ass might be to massage the prostate. I know I sound stupid and naive, but I figured it did not feel good to the guy on the bottom, but they did it to satisfy their partner. I know now how wrong I was. Add to this the concept of pegging and I see a whole another world opening up. So I laugh at myself when I remember how I thought I was very "worldly". When I started to get some responses to my comment the subject of religion popped up. Basically our social phobias and perhaps religious views would militate against discussing these subjects with out children. I then responded as a very horny and not a perfect Christian and threw fuel on the fire about religion. Because I am wrestling with my Christian beliefs I was very interested.

NOW, having said that, I agree that this site is not for promoting religious beliefs. We are here trying to learn and enhance our newly founded orgasmic skills. So I agree with those bitching about the injection of religion into our Aneros space. I will shape up. Thanks for the criticism which was legitimate.

BUT since I am,always trying to have the last word and in my usual defensive and irritating mode, I can not resist pointing out that surely our ability to rewire and enjoy our sexual experiences can not be a result of an accident in the universe. I believe this once again proves that some superior being gave us these abilities. This not the result of some merging of molecules from a primordial soup. NOW THIS IS THE LAST TIME i WILL MENTION GOD. (I already lie... I keep saying to myself and partner... Oh my GOD! as I cum). So he seems to inject himself into this conversation. OK I AM DONE! UP WITH ORGASMS... MAY THERE BE MANY AND INTENSE.

Evolution is quite capable of developing a heightened sexuality (one that is not simply just for reproduction) - there is a great deal of scientific evidence for this having been a major factor in the successful evolution of our species.

If kids were made to read one book they should read "Sex at Dawn, the Prehistoric Origins of Modern Sexuality" - it would be useful for some adults to read this too.

Great and grand wide-ranging discussion men!!!

                To summarize briefly:

                * at age 13 my prostate gland called to me and I began what is now over 50 years of solo prostate massage

                * I used my finger(s) and improvised massagers ( model rockets about erect cock sized... and then all manner of things over the years!!!

                * at 17 a male friend and I decided to explore sexual intimacy together: I was cock curious by then and was the first to bottom, and most frequent to bottom initially)

                * his cock action in me did NOT parallel the great effects I got with my massager/dildos and soon I got tired of anal reception

                * he married soon after we quit at around age 19, had two kids and then found that he was/is gay; divorced and have long-term gay relationship

                * I found that my preference is for women and yet I can enjoy sex with a man very nicely up to a point: so I am functionally bisexual, yet well on the hetero side of the teeter-totter

                * IF I lost my wife of almost 44 years, I would be seeking another female lover/partner

                * at ages 14-15 my prostate massage sessions could produce incredible after effects later or the next day: astounding visions and "mystical experiences, often very cinematic high-speed journeys through space and time. I called them "Intellectual Orgasms" and discussed them with family and close friends. They were life-changing and I have been forever grateful for them at that stage of my development.

*Now into my 6th year with Aneros and my mixed Aneros/KSMO/Tao practice, both solo and with my wife, I have advocated here since the original question of this thread was raised back then in effect, that all 13 year old males be given an Aneros SGX or MGX, depending on their height, free, as tooth brushes are now distributed by Public Health, on the basis of the now scientifically acknowledged health benefits of more frequent masturbation and of prostate massage for male health in later life!

                * I am also forever grateful that my prostate massage practice opened me physically and spiritually to the exploratory gay relationship at that age of youthful experiments. He and I have remained platonic friends (no sex together) even as our conversations about sex and each others' sex lives continue among many other common interests and topics

                * he visits my wife and I every year or so and we have great chats

                * another post here soon will talk about my remotely shared orgasmic energies experiences that began here at Aneros and are another way of sharing male male penetration experiences extraordinarily intensely at-a-distance....

@artform Thankyou for your fist hand account of age 13 experience. I look forward to your next post as promised.

Although I have said in the beginning of the discussion that it might not be a good idea to introduce aneros at age 13. I now can see maybe a positive as well.
I find your "tooth brush" idea (introduction of aneros at age 13 as mandatory idea) to maybe have some positives that I had not thought of.
It may help with the stresses put on young males as they go through there body changing and the hormone rushes. I not sure but maybe. The problem would be control of the addictive affects.

It may also help with stamping out the negativeness against other males that find them selves Gay or Bi.
They the Heterosexuals may have more understanding and tolerance and not be so afraid of the gay or Bi male.
In a more perfect world then this could be introduced as a experiment but in the world we live in I dont think it is going to happen any time soon.

The world is just too young.
Maybe if anerosing becomes main stream we might get there.

                    Hi bnw!!

You are most welcome and thank you for your thoughts on the applicability and potential of the " 'tooth brush' idea".

Aneros and this community have, perhaps unintentionally, given rise to another level of male prostate awakening advancement. One that seemed initially to be of particular interest for older males.

Yet with increasing experimentation, it seems that males of all ages can find this other level too with attention to their prostate gland through the Aneros journey, and thus the following brings us back to the original question about making information available to young males at age 13.

(fading here fast and will return and complete these thoughts here soon.....)

I didn't read any of the earlier posts.. But coming from a guy who journey into puberty is still fresh in mind:

Being taught about MMO and prostate massage as a young boy would have saved me a LOT of heart ache and pain. At about 13, I started to explore with anal by myself. Of course, this meant that EVERYTHING was makeshift and could have let to me being hurt if I was less fortunate. (Hair conditioner for lube, leg razor as a prostate massager... Ext)

I also assumed that prostate massage was like traditional masturbation in that I thought if you just pumped something in and out of your but really fast and hard you'd cum. Again, had I been less fortunate, I could have really hurt myself.

Being taught about MMO early on could have seriously helped my mental health growing up into adolescents as well. When I started to watch porn as a youngin' (I stopped years ago now), I noticed nearly right away that those famous 'squirting' girls seemed to be having quite a bit more fun than the dudes that were banging them. Because of that I have experienced some extreme self hatred of my body, even though in truth, I have a body that would be desired by plenty of men and women. (Good sized penis, decent face, not too fat, can easily keep erection after ejaculating numerous times, healthy). The fact that I used to literally want to die because "I will never be able to experience anything like that.", really scares the crap out of me...

I hope that my experience can somewhat keep some other young boys from hurting them self physically or mentally. I didn't do anything to deserve that self hatred and neither did anyone else...

The forum seems to have changed, I hope it can return to non judgmental encouraging discussion. Thank you @artform for pouring oil on troubled waters.
Re this topic, I only wish that I had had a better understanding of sexual function when I was 14 - 15. My parents were broad minded, but would it have been abuse to give me more information? In the light of recent posts I think the answer would be yes. We did not have the Internet. I must say my teenage years were a sexual disaster. We scoured bookshops for female prisoner of war stories - some mental images have unfortunately stayed with me all my life. Our sex education was so divorced from reality that it had a negative effect. So it is a very tricky subject to get a right answer to. Permission to read some real sexual information and specific permission to ejaculate as a normal function would have been an huge relief. I am surprised that we have not have more negative comments on this topic. Sorry for some of the comments but I am still smarting.

I'm fine Pommie, thanks! Was just very tired and eyes fatigued after a long busy day and evening.

                            Hi MMO_RPG and isvara !!

Thanks MMO_RPG for your personal "13" story. You and I had similar puberty experiences, both starting anal exploration at that age. From all I have learned and experienced since, I know we are not unique in having anal curiosity at that age.

It is regrettable that your journey then was as fraught with uncertainty/fear, hazard and self-hatred. One of my favourite Einstein quotes is: "Imagination is more important than knowledge." Northrop Frye's book: "The Educated Imagination" addresses this issue, and I agree with both Einstein and Frye.

In the world of young boys/men at age 13, I believe that knowledge is needed very much then in order to enable an Educated Imagination in matters of anatomy, sensuality, sexuality and their wider role in our lives. Ergo, my " 'toothbrush' proposal", that all boys 13 be provided with an Aneros MGX or SGX by the public health nurse education sessions in public schools.

The most recent scientific knowledge on these matters needs to be shared appropriately with young people even before 13, and certainly fully by that age. Direction about health first and safe practices for all potential areas of erotic exploration are essential, and morally and ethically required in education and health practices.

Otherwise, the distorted street stories, pseudo-facts and falsities, particular religious beliefs, stereotyped or sales oriented pornography, and other potentially dangerous are flooding the young person's experiences and thinking. Thanks isvara for adding your experiences and the negative consequences of being uninformed then.

The transformation in our bodies and minds as we go through puberty and into a long maturation process around sexuality requires an Educated Imagination to avoid your unfortunate type of experience. I might well have had the same sort, rather than the positive one I experienced as set out in my post, second upward above.

all the best education and discussion about our being through youth and the fullness of our lives potentials all

                            artform

                            as we rewire
                            we are all reconnected

@isvara I am assuming you ment my comment (outburst) way back then. My views have not changed but it is interesting to note that, my advice was taken on board by most all users and we have lived in orgasmic harmony ever since. LOL Hoping reopening this forgotten thread does not descend into anarchy again.
                              The discussion at hand.

I can see the benefits and wish that the Aneros had been introduced to me at age 13 or 16. Maybe I would have spent more time making myself happy with the aneros rather than thinking about killing myself most of the time. My teens was not a happy part of my life to which I still have nightmares about.

I only started getting fleeting interests in my anus after high school though. It has taken almost forty years to actually buy something to explore anal with.
From the recent comments on another discussion involving minors (even though they weren't minors) it is clear the point is mute though. People are still highly sensitive about anything to do with sex when it comes to such young persons.
If you were to mention anal and 13 years old in society you would be in real hot water (putting it mildly).

Here is something we have not thrown into the discussion although on the same path, why be sexest.
Should we give EVI to our young 13 girls. Dont quite know if we are even qualified to comment on the idea. Would that reduce teen pregnancies or increase them?

Dont know , but I think we maybe kidding ourselves even contemplating the idea of Aneros for either sex at such a early stage.

@bravenewworld, no it was not your clarification of the rules, that was salutary, thank you.
Re this thread, I think you have summed up the impossibility of helping under age people. I would only add providing a penetrating object to a minor that could be sexually stimulating would be a definite no.
