  • Looking to Upgrade?

Hi all. My wife and I recently purchased a helix syn for me to use during oral, intercourse, etc. I was/am totally new to anal play, and reluctant at first, but I am a major believer after only a few sessions. It goes in easily, and is incredibly comfortable. I find that it greatly reduces my refractory period, and I'm ready to have sex multiple times a day when using it, vs twice a week max prior to using it. As great as it is, I almost feel like I need a bigger size. I can feel some incredible sensations when it's in, but ONLY when I'm thrusting/pumping. If it's just sitting inside, I don't feel much. Is this normal, or is it possible that I need one that is longer/larger? Thanks in advance for any advice you may have.

FirstTimeUser11 I suggest you stick with your HS it until your rewiring process gets underway. It is one of the best model to start with. With practice, you will feel some effects on your prostate and then you will be in a better position to select your next model. I don't know what your expectation are but chances are you won't achieve them faster with any another model. One day and one session at a time. Good luck and welcome to the Aneros world!

BTW, it's great that you have your wife involved but you also need to consider doing several solo sessions to maximize on the benefits of what Aneros can do for you. Distractions do not help progress; in fact they hinder them.

Just remember that the Aneros prostate stimulators were designed to help men separate the concepts of orgasm and ejaculation. Of course, sex WITH Aneros can be mind-blowing. But as GGringo pointed out, you need to be well on your way towards rewiring BEFORE you consider regularly including Aneros with your sexual encounters. Of course, there are no hard and fast rules here, but you will make better progress by concentrating on solo prostate orgasms! Please keep us posted as you progress!

Unfortunately, I don't really do solo stuff. The wife and I really only do stuff together (no, I'm not full of it). And when we're together, it's about the both of us, so my Aneros will always be used during intervourse or oral. I guess I'll just have to stick with the status quo then, which isn't anything to complain about, was just looking for more. Thanks.

Just another thought --- Maybe you could integrate your HS "sessions" as part of your encounters? i.e. "pseudo-solo"? That would give you the best of both worlds!

Bigger is not necessarily better or more stimulating. Your initial reactions are quite normal. New Aneros users often are so attuned to the macro sensations of penile stimulation that they overlook the more subtle sensations generated by the gentle massage action of their Aneros device. I agree with both GGringo & goldenboy in that you need to give yourself more time to attune yourself to those subtle sensations, hence the normal recommendation to refrain from penile stimulation during the early stages of your Aneros journey.

That's great you two are in sync with each other to such an extent, however, until you're sufficiently rewired, I'd recommend you concentrate predominant usage of your Aneros in conjunction with your oral sexual play. This will allow you to rewire your body without the cross confusion of penile involvement and simultaneously allow the more subtle sensations generated by your massager to emerge during your oral sex play. While solo sex play, initially, may lead to a quicker rewiring, your partnered play will most likely be more emotionally enjoyable. Since there is no rush to hasten your rewiring, a longer learning curve is a perfectly viable path to pursue.

I agree with goldenboy in cultivating only one toy during the start of your rewiring.

My wife and I bought a Helix-classic (long before the day of the -syn). We stuck with that for several months when I started to ramp up my solo sessions.

We had noticed that, when inserted, my finishing ejaculation lacked its typical force. Our initial solution was a shoelace tied to the Helix's tail. My wife would extract the Helix just as she Kegeled me into ejaculation.

As an alternative my chat-buddy and Aneros mentor suggested that we try an SGX even though I'm six feet tall. The SGX has been one of my favorites when I anticipate a lot of physical activity and ejaculation. My ejaculation is more complete with the SGX than it had been with the Helix. I offer this since, when it comes to Aneros toys, larger may not always be better. Smaller is usually more, "agile."

              Enjoy !

@FirstTimeUser11 - if I might make a suggestion - I recommend you work on incorporating Aneros practice into foreplay. This may be a little difficult as I have found that arousal tends to mask some of the "fine tuning" of muscle control, but with proper sequencing you should be able to get good Aneros time even when not alone. I don't know how old you are, but I have found that practice with the Aneros has helped me develop pelvic muscle control that I never thought possible. During intercourse I am able to ride waves higher and higher, actually having orgasms but forestalling ejaculation and giving my wife time to reach her peak(s). We finish when we decide to finish, which is totally different from my younger days. After 35 years of marriage, it just keeps getting better!

mastadon1@yahoo.com , I'm envious of you and anyone who can include their wife in the process. Mine would NOT be receptive to anything involving the back door and after 39 years of marriage, this will not change. Thanks for sharing.

GGringo - I wouldn't exactly say my wife is involved in the process. She is aware of the Aneros and doesn't object, but it's not part of our activities together.
